Jacob Iacullo, 15 year old resident of East Brunswick, has been selected for the 2019 Monmouth Council Eagle Service Project of the Year Award. This award recognizes select Eagle Scout candidates for Eagle Scout service projects that are original and have a long lasting impact on the community.
Jacob, along with fellow scouts & community members, constructed two artificial bee nesting habitats or “bee hotels” as part of his Eagle Scout service project. The long term goal of a bee hotel is to increase the beneficial bee population in the area. They are each located in East Brunswick Community Garden and Great Oak Park respectively. Jacob worked with The Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission to develop his Eagle Scout service project.
Jacob is the 84th member of Troop 223 to earn the highest honor of scouting, the rank of Eagle Scout.
Eagle Scout #75, Nick Razzano, has earned varsity-letters for all 4
years of high school for baseball, received the Prudential Spirit of
Community Award, and finished with a 4.36 cumulative grade-point average
as a member of the National Honor Society. And to reward his hard work,
he was given the Tufaro Foundation GMC Student-Athlete Scholarship.
Troop 223 is proud of all Nick’s outstanding achievements, as a student,
scout, and athlete!
Congratulations to Kyle Corbin for getting the rank of Eagle! Getting Eagle is a huge achievement by itself, but getting it by the age of 14 is incredible! Kyle’s put in so much effort, getting as many merit badges as he can, living by the scout oath and law, and working vigorously on his project. His hard work was even recognized by the news; they wrote an article about his project. Once again, congratulations Kyle, you deserve it!
Congratulations to Ryan Hoffman for achieving the highest rank a Boyscout can get! There’s a monumental amount of work involved in getting Eagle that takes years of a boy’s adolescence, so it’s great he’s managed to make it.
Congratulations to the 76th eagle scout from our troop, Tyler Waite. Getting eagle is not something fast or easy; it requires a lot of time and hard work, and few scouts ever do it. Congratulations again for this huge accomplishment!
Congratulations to our 75th eagle scout Nick Razzano! The path to eagle is a very difficult and long one that few scouts ever get to the end of, it’s a huge accomplishment! Once again, congratulations!
