A wiki is a set of dynamic web pages that allow for collaborative editing. Probably the most famous wiki is Wikipedia but Scouts may be more familiar with [http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page meritbadge.org].  What does that mean for us?  It means that if you are interested in capturing information that can benefit the troop, just ask our webmaster for an account and then jump in.  The editor and formatting are a bit old school.  If you need help, ask Mr. Hoffman but don't be shy about making changes.  All edits are versioned, so changes are not lost for ever.  The value and quality of the information stored here is completely up to us.  There's nothing to lose, just keep the scout oath and law in mind as you are creating articles.

So, what is a wiki?

A wiki is a set of dynamic web pages that allow for collaborative editing. Probably the most famous wiki is Wikipedia but Scouts may be more familiar with meritbadge.org.
